Proverbs 18:22 He who finds a wife finds a good thing, And obtains favor from the Lord. Hello! Hmm... A woman who fears the Lord.... A woman who is a daughter of God, redeemed by the blood of Christ and transformed by the presence of the Holy Spirit. A woman who loves and cherishes God, loves and cares for herself and loves and cares for others. A woman who obeys and honors her parents. A woman who will submit to and respect her husband. A woman who will be his sister in Christ, friend and love. She will pray for him, live life with him and have endearing moments with him. A woman who will make a home with him and raise children with him. A woman who will watch his back, pray for him, speak truth to him and encourage him. Such a woman is a treasure and a man who finds her has the Lord's favor. She is a gift that Jesus prepares and presents at the right time and right place. Ruth 3:11; Esther 2:15b; Psalm 90:12; Psalm 139:13-16; Proverbs 14:1a, 31:10-31; Song 2:1-2; 1 Corinthians 11:2-16; Ephesians 5:17-33; 1 Timothy 2:8-15; 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 2:1-5; 1 Peter 3:1-7. Much love and blessings, Emery in Christ I greet you in the name of Jesus Christ! Luke 23:34 Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” And they divided His garments and cast lots. At the moment when Jesus spoke these words, the roman soldiers had already nailed Him on the cross and stood the cross up in front of the people who witnessed the crucifixion of Christ. Jesus was looking at people who wanted Him dead, and instead of asking the Father to curse them all, He asked Him to forgive them all. For, they did not know what they were doing. Now, that is the part that I would like to focus on. That these people just did not know what they were doing. They did not know that they were actually killing the Promised Messiah. That they sought to annihilate the source of their deliverance and throwing away the only key that could open the doors to their prison cells. They did not know what they were doing. They did not know who they were hurting. They did not know the salvation that they were forsaking and that they were forsaking any salvation in the first place. Looking into our own lives, who in our lives have said certain things or have acted in certain ways towards us because they simply just do not know better? Now, yes, there are people who are quite intentional in their wrongs against us. Yet, there are those who simply do not know. While we are to forgive all who transgress against us, there is something about those who just do not know better. I do not know about you, but I have a bit more mercy in my heart for them, for they just do not know what they are doing. So, then, the best thing for me to do is to teach these individuals that what they have been doing is wrong and why that is so. I will forgive them and teach them for they just do not know what they are doing. Amen. What will you do? Much love and blessings, Emery in Christ |
But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
